Rocket City Brand, a vintage style graphic t-shirt venture with designs inspired by iconic landmarks in the history of Huntsville, Alabama, will be unveiling its first line of products on November 14, 2014.

The t-shirts, which are available now at rocketcitybrand.com and at a new Rocket City Brand storefront located at Clinton Row on Friday, November 14, feature graphics inspired by iconic landmarks that have worked to define generations of Huntsville history.

T-shirts that will be made available at the brand's unveiling will include:

"Rocket City USA." This retro-inspired design is modeled after the sign that greeted thousands of residents and visitors alike to the town that would send America to the Moon.

"The Plush Horse" - The Plush Horse began its years of operation in 1970 as a dinner theater locale. However, in 1972, the uniquely designed Golf Road building became Huntsville's premier nightclub. With cheap drinks and world-class entertainment including the likes of Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Little Richard, and James Brown, The Plush Horse remained a mainstay in Huntsville culture for over a decade.

"Whitesburg Drive-In" - Whitesburg Drive-in was a large drive-in theater located on Whitesburg Drive. It had room enough to fit 400 cars on its lot at one time and cost only 40 cents for adults and 10 cents for children. It had an illustrious place in Huntsville's history lasting from June 16, 1949 to September of 1979.

"The Mall" - The Mall opened in early 1966, and two department stores, Loveman's and J.C. Penney served as the site's two anchors. It also included a large movie theater that was a popular draw for residents of Huntsville. The late 1960s and 1970s were great years for The Mall, as it was Huntsville's only enclosed mall space until Parkway City enclosed its shops in 1975.

"Live Life Longer on Monte Sano" - Older than the Rocket City itself, Huntsville's Monte Sano Mountain has long been one of our most beloved destinations. Monte Sano means "Mountain of Good Health" in Spanish. This classic design once welcomed visitors to one of North Alabama's scenic locales.

The t-shirts are not only inspired by Huntsville history, but they are locally designed and produced in the Rocket City. Green Pea Press, a printmaking studio located inside Lowe Mill ARTS and Entertainment, serve as the shirts' printers.
